Amelia Petite Maison represents a love for greenery, flowers and the colours of the Tuscan land. My mother’s books on gardening, art and novels were my favourite readings and I never missed an opportunity to experiment with seeds, flowers and elements I picked up in the woods or meadows, kneading doilies and crochet hooks with oil tempera.
I graduated in Natural Sciences with a focus on botany, then I put these passions on hold to devote myself to the family business. For the last ten years or so, however, my true self connected to greenery and flowers has taken over again and given birth – little by little – to ‘i Coccoli’; my little botanical refuge in the heart of Sienese Tuscany.
Here I have a wild garden of olive trees, plants and flowers including lavender (my first love) and I try to maintain a high biodiversity every year enriched by the restoration of endemic perennial species, now overgrown by weeds and the strong desertification taking place.
I naturally harvest and dry the plants and wild herbs in and around our farm, respecting their biological cycle, which I then reuse in flower arrangements, turning them into favours and accessories.
In June, when the lavender is in bloom, we host families and newlyweds for photo shoots on our fields overlooking the Crete Senesi, in the olive grove, and in the forest.
Amelia Petite Maison takes care of every detail for your Event in an artisanal, eco-friendly way and with my personal touch of true and genuine nature.
