Borgo Bagnaia Spa & Resort

Borgo di Bagnaia has ancient origins, dating back to the early Middle Ages when the peasants of the fertile Merse River countryside found safe and comfortable refuge around the fortress of the local feudal lord. After a long period of prosperity, the village gradually depopulated, and the rebirth came several decades later when the notable Jacopo Bichi bought the entire estate. Over the years, he built his country residence there, restored the farmers’ houses, the village’s infrastructure and the church. Today, the care of the current owners has turned the village into a comfortable reception facility, together with the neighbouring medieval hamlet of Filetta, once a post station for horses dating back to the year 1000, the ancient thermal baths of Santa Caterina, the remains of the Frontignano castle and the entire estate.

Borgo Bagnaia preserves the ancient medieval structure, including the 12th century church. Inside there are 72 rooms spread over eight buildings, an outdoor swimming pool with pool bar, La Voliera Restaurant and beautiful gardens.

La Voliera Restaurant: The restaurant is located in Borgo Bagnaia and offers authentic Tuscan cuisine with an à la carte menu. The restaurant also offers a delicious breakfast buffet. In the warmer months you can enjoy the beautiful patio with views of the surrounding hills and Borgo Bagnaia.

Banquet Hall: The elegant Banquet Hall features marble floors and large arched windows on the outdoor patio, offering spectacular views of Siena and the surrounding Sienese hills.

Terrace Over the World: This fabulous terrace with views of the Estate, Golf Course and Siena in the background, is ideal for aperitifs, dinners and outdoor wedding ceremonies.
